Mentor/Volunteer Requirements
Mentor Responsibilities

- Passion to help youth
- High regard for Christian belief
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Criminal background check
- No arrest due to child negligence
- No arrest related to sexual misconduct
- Be able to commit in writing to one year or more
- Have a vehicle and proof of auto insurance (Mentors only)
- Current Driver’s License (Mentors only)
- No illegal use of drugs
- No firearms assessable to mentee
Mentor Responsibilities
- Call mentee at least once weekly
- Two face-to-face activities with mentee per month
- Attend Semi-Monthly Leadership Development Trainings on time
- Attend mentee sports/extracurricular/church/community related activities
- Periodic check-in with mentee’s parent
- Attend other activities if schedule allows
- Assist with fundraisers as needed
