Leadership Development Mentoring Program
MB2B’s Leadership Development Mentoring Program provides group mentoring to at-risk African American male youth from single female headed households within southern Dallas County, southeastern Tarrant County, and surrounding communities.
The Leadership Development Mentoring Program is designed as a three-way partnership between the Mentee, Parent and MB2B in providing a support system that enables the Mentee to successfully navigate the challenges of being an African American male youth. The Leadership Development Mentoring Program empowers at-risk African American male youth with core programs focused on leadership development, academic excellence, spiritual growth, community service, career exploration and life skills.
The current design of the Leadership Development Mentoring Program is a group mentoring model. Mentees and Mentors meet semi-monthly on Saturdays. Mentees are able to earn incentives based on attendance at leadership development meetings, grades, community service, and positive feedback from community. Additional incentives can be earned if Mentee maintains a savings account and increase the balance of this account year over year. Click here for more program information.
