BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS
Mr. Terrence Chase, Chairman, Board of Directors – Mr. Chase, a native of New York City, NY, is a founder of MB2B and retired in 2018 after serving 20 years as the organization’s first President. He is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor of education degree in mathematics with an emphasis in elementary education. Mr. Chase also holds a master in counseling degree and has 20 years of experience as an educator, counselor and school administrator.
Mr. Will C. Pugh, Jr., President and Director – Mr. Pugh, a native of Marks, MS, is a graduate of Jackson State University with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Pugh previously served as a mentor with MB2B for 9 years and was appointed President in 2018. He has been working with youth in various capacities for over 20 years. During his previous stint with MB2B, Mr. Pugh’s program focus involved academic bowl competitions, reading program and college/career readiness. He has over 15 years of experience in the accounting profession.
Mr. Andre Boson, Vice President and Director – Mr. Boson, a native of San Antonio, TX, has served as a mentor with MB2B since 2007 and was appointed Vice President in 2018. He is a graduate of Tyler Junior College with an associate in arts degree in business administration and The University of Texas at Tyler with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. Mr. Boson’s program focus involves leadership development, financial investment, parent liaison, and technology. Prior to MB2B, he has worked in various capacities as a volunteer for tutoring and after school youth programs. Mr. Boson has 20 years of experience as a financial services and information technology professional.
Ms. Petula Waller, Director – Ms. Waller, a native of Dallas, TX, joined the board of directors in 2020. She is a single mother of an adult son. Consequently, she knows first-hand the joys and challenges of raising a Black man in today's world. Ms. Waller previously served as MB2B’s first Parent Coordinator while her son was enrolled in the program. Ms. Waller has over 20 years of experience in addressing people's needs by helping them resolve issues in her role as a customer service professional. Her passion is walking alongside other single mothers. She enjoys working with single mothers as they create the next steps in their lives. Ms. Waller’s favorite thing to do as playtime is travel, which is a joy filler, mind booster and perspective fixer.
Mr. Curtis Pete, Director - Mr. Pete, a native of Longview, TX, joined the board of directors in 2023. He previously served as a mentor with MB2B for 13 years. His role as a mentor involved helping mentees achieve their educational goals through college/career readiness. Mr. Pete also served as a coach for academic bowl competitions. Mr. Pete currently volunteers to help youth in several capacities including coaching youth basketball, speaking at Career Day, and mentoring interns in Information Technology. Mr. Pete received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Texas A & M University and is a software engineering professional.
